Abstract:
Pyrimidine ring is present in a large number of biologically important compounds such as alkaloids,
drugs, agrochemicals or antimicrobial agents and, since the early years of this century, numerous
studies on the synthesis and structure-activity relationships of pyrimidine derivatives have been
reported [1]. Because of the wide pharmacological applications of pyrimidines and quinazolines, we
aimed in this work to synthesize new derivatives of 3-substituted quinazolinediones.
